Highlights of Recent Legislation

Casinos

  • Louisiana: Amends gaming operations contract, extending provisions until June 30, 2025. [SB 277]
  • Maryland: Alters disqualification criteria for video lottery employee licenses and theft definitions. [HB 1192]

Coin Operated Machines

  • Georgia: Modifies administrative procedures and revenue division for amusement machines. [HB 353]

Dog/Horse Racing

  • Connecticut: Regulates off-track betting and dog racing operations. [SB 132]
  • Oklahoma: Updates procedures and appointments for the Horse Racing Commission. [HB 3693, HB 2965]
  • Maryland: Supports and develops horse racing industry, including tax provisions and facility alterations. [HB 1524]
  • Minnesota: Prohibits historical horse racing at licensed tracks. [SF 2219]
