CPA Firm Issues SOC 2SM Report on Controls Over Security and Availability Trust Services Criteria for Regology's Regulatory Compliance System
Regology Inc., today announced that the company has undergone a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2SM examination resulting in a CPA’s report stating that management of Regology maintained effective controls over the security and availability of its Regology system. The engagement was performed by BARR Advisory, P.A.
A SOC 2 SM report is designed to meet the needs of existing or potential customers who need assurance about the effectiveness of controls at a service organization that are relevant to the security, availability, or processing integrity of the system used by the service organization to process customers’ information, or the confidentiality or privacy of that information.
"We are pleased and proud to obtain a SOC 2 report, which shows that we have the appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks related to security and availability. Our services are built upon the trust our customers have in them. Thus, we are thrilled to have external evidence that we follow industry best practices regarding security”, said Pavan Bayyapu, CTO at Regology.
Paul Bruin, CPO at Regology added, “This shows Regology's commitment to making our end-to-end software solution secure for our customers. Our Security, Confidentiality, and Availability have now been audited by an accredited third party auditor showing that we meet or exceed the SOC 2 standards set by AICPA. We intend to continue providing an excellent product platform for our customers.”
A SOC 2SM report is an internal control report on the services provided by a service organization to its customers and provides valuable information that existing and potential customers of the service organization need to assess and address the risks associated with an outsourced service.
